What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger but only if you adopt that attitude – otherwise it will make you weaker.
Why I Write
The seeds of doubt were planted at a young age. I can’t tell you exactly when, but I know it started in childhood. I was lead to believe I wasn’t capable, that I would struggle in this life. In particular, concerns surrounded my abilities in English. At first, my parents worried that I had a … Read more Why I Write
The Only Thing The World Needs From You
“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Why Everything Scares You To Death
The other night, while I was trying to sleep, I started thinking about the post I wrote last week where I stated that hatred is driven – at its core – by a fear of death. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was missing something fundamental. Naturally this started to make me feel a little anxious. … Read more Why Everything Scares You To Death

AP, I agree. This is shown in several ways. Physical illness weakens you, but may make your spirit stronger. Determination is usually a positive factor in recovery from physical illness. Overcoming danger gives you experience and confidence to better survive threats next time. Have a great weekend! Cheryl ❤

Trying new things will sometimes lead to disappointment. If we have the right attitude to learn from the experience then we will not be making mistakes as much as making progress towards the eventual solution!

Indeed it will. Expectation management is key. We often expect great things well before they are delivered to us. Patience and perseverance are key. Thanks Hamish 🙏

A friend showed me a meme-like picture in the past year, specifically to do with finding a partner to spend life with, where we the person is at the bottom of a staircase. There are about twenty steps but their leg’s been photoshopped to skip straight to the top! I think that’s a great image of what we want it to be like when we try something new.
