Procrastination has nothing to do with being lazy and everything to do with avoiding unwanted feelings.
Start now and rip the bandaid off – and you’ll get over those feelings quickly. Once you have, momentum takes over and – like a boulder rolling down the hill – things become much easier.
The most difficult bit is almost always getting started. There’s no way around it of course – you’ve just got to get on with it.
That’s life!
As a general rule of thumb I’d say, the time to start is now and thing to do is the one that scares you the most.
Yep! As Nike used to say “Just Do It!”

Sometimes the mind needs to stop speculating and realise that the rest of the body exists huh.

It’s a great point. When the mind is at rest, so can the body. Wishing you well

Oddly enough, this is what I have been struggling with all day. I am yet to write my blogs and get to work. Thank you for sharing this.💖💖💖

Honestly sometines it does feel like ripping off the band aid. Yet procrastination does not make it any easier if anything things get harder and tighter time wise…

Yeah procrastination unfortunately only has one antidote – that’s getting to work!

I absolutely love this. I hate people calling themselves or others lazy. There is no such thing as just being lazy….

Agreed. Lazy is always for a reason. Whether it’s an emotional issue or that you genuinely need to rest. Thanks again Eliza

Just. Keep. Starting. Every day is a new beginning, and sometimes that can be tough. But we can take the bull by the horns and do it!

Awesome Hamish. It’s all about overcoming that initial pain. Once the Boulder starts rolling down the hill… momentum takes over. Thanks brother 🙏

Yeah, that’s a good way of looking at it. I feel like I’m still pushing that boulder uphill, but starting to see the top, or at least know it’s there. Keep writing, keep practicing music, keep putting one foot in front of the other.
For anyone reading this, whatever it is that encourages you to put in the most hard work, keep on keeping at it. Every bead of sweat is worth it.

It’s funny. We work hard for a long time and see little reward and then all of sudden we see these jumps. I think many of us don’t stick at things long enough to see that jump. Keep plugging away and I believe you’ll see it.
